The third through fifth grade teachers at Nittany Christian School work hand in hand with parents to show God’s love to each student. These teachers not only provide an excellent academic learning environment, but also take the time to help their students spiritually and emotionally as well. These teachers care not only for the child’s grades, but also for their hearts. This is evident as they take time to help students with friendships, resolve conflicts and much, much more. Our third through fifth grade teachers help each student walk through these important, formative years together with friends, family, and most importantly, with God.

Mrs. Bethany Rummel is excited to join the NCS family for this school year. She spent most of her childhood growing up at the Jersey Shore, but moved in high school to Happy Valley. Bethany recently graduated from Penn State University with a degree in early childhood and elementary education and is excited to see how her students grow academically, spiritually, and emotionally. In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband Dylan, family and friends. Some of her favorite things include hiking, watching movies, playing games, bubble tea, and ice cream.

Miss Jessica Sechler graduated from Penn State in 1998 with an elementary education degree after which she taught throughout Pennsylvania and Maryland. God fulfilled a desire in her heart to move back to State College, and she has been a part of Nittany Christian School since 2014. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking road trips, and doing anything outside in nature.

Mrs. Amy Folk is excited to join the NCS team as the fourth grade teacher. She graduated from Messiah College in 2000 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and earned an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction. She taught in her local public school for 13 years before resigning to become a homeschooling mom and provide evaluations for home education programs. In the fall of 2021, Amy and her husband packed up their five children and relocated from northern PA to State College - she’s thankful to be a part of the NCS family!

Amy’s favorite things include coffee, reading, pie, a good sense of humor, and spending quality time with loved ones.
