The Board of Directors at Nittany Christian School (NCS) is currently seeking an experienced,

Christ-centered, highly qualified leader to fill the position of Principal. Nittany Christian School serves approximately 135 students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. We employ 29 full and part time teachers and staff. Our students thrive from the personal attention of our caring teachers and staff who are dedicated to each child's success. We combine excellent academic instruction and character development from a biblical perspective. At NCS, we care about who each student is and who they are becoming.

An ideal candidate would have the following:

  • A Master's Degree or equivalent in Education, or equivalent work experience

  • Classroom teaching experience required

  • A strong belief in the connection between Christian values and education

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The principal of NCS reports to the Board of Directors and serves as the chief school administrator. This position provides leadership in all areas of school development. 

A brief summary of responsibilities include:

  1. Develops and implements short and long-term goals for the organization in conjunction with the school board that align with the NCS Strategic Plan

  2.  Provides professional and spiritual leadership to all NCS staff

  3. Ensures the quality of the overall education for our students

  4. Hires, supervises, evaluates, and manages all NCS teachers and personnel

  5. Assists the teachers with developing and implementing curricula and programs in accordance with a biblical worldview

  6. Partners with families while guiding students in academic, behavioral, and spiritual development.

  7. Represents NCS in the broader community and develops avenues for securing enrollment

COMPENSATION:

A salary range of $63,500-$75,000 and benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.
