Our journey to Narnia began in October with auditions for this great cast of characters. Then, we were on to the practice sessions as we began the process of memorizing lines, blocking stage movement, developing characters and rehearsing. It is always exciting to see the characters emerge as the students find their confidence and develop their character — for some, this happens very quickly, for others — it is a process, but eventually, they push beyond their comfort level, push aside their fears, and rise to their character identity. What a joy it is to watch them take the stage — confident in their role and of the new talents and abilities they have developed.
It is always a joy and a blessing to guide, direct, and mentor these amazing and talented young students. Their love for drama — whether already there or newly found — spurs them on with eagerness to come together as a team and present a story to their audience.
