Here participants in NCS Scrip can:

How do I begin?

  1. Submit a signed Enrollment Form to the office.
  2. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com to register and place orders on-line. (Paper order forms are available in the school office.) Click here for detailed instructions on how to register and place an order on-line.
  3. Submit a check and printout of your order to the office before Monday at 9AM.
    Check the school calendar for complete ordering date details.
  4. Receive your order by back pack mail or pick your order up in the office sometime on or after Thursday of the same week.

What are scrip?

Scrip are negotiable gift certificates from major retailers that work just like cash. They are the same gift certificates that you can buy at the store. You can use Scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, toys, gifts, and even gasoline; and with every purchase you can earn revenue for NCS and lower your tuition bill.

How do these retailers help us raise money?

Scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization through a broker, www.glscrip.com, at a discount. Member families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, they redeem them for full face value, and our school keeps the difference as revenue.

What will we do with the revenue?

The revenue generated will be divided in this way:
  • 80% will go toward individual family tuition reduction or NCS financial aid - chosen by the participant.
  • 20% is designated for NCS Scrip administrative costs such as postage and maintaining an inventory of grocery scrip.
So if you are a NCS family you can reduce your tuition bill simply by using scrip for purchases you would make anyway. You can even recruit friends and family to participate so that they can help reduce your tuition bill too. If you do not have a favorite student, but want to support the school, you can choose to have the revenue you generate go towards need based financial aid.

How much money will I generate?

This will vary widely depending upon your spending habits.

Here’s one example:

Food: $80/week x 4 = $320/month
Clothing:   $50/month
Gas: $30/week x 4 = $120/month
Dining out:   $50/month
Total: $540/month x 12 months = $6480/year

If this family uses scrip for these purchases our school can generate revenue. On average, the portion of each scrip purchase that is earned by our school is 5%. So, a family, using these spending levels, would generate about $324 each year. (A family that works at the program by focusing their spending on scrip participating retailers can generate much more.) Of that $324, $259.20 would go toward the family’s tuition bill at the end of the year and $64.80 would go towards the administration of the scrip program.

What stores participate?

Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program including Giant, Old Navy, Sheetz, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Lowes and many, many others. For a complete list, including discounts offered, and rules and regulations see the List of Retailers.

How will we run our program?

Ordering will be completed online at this website. Orders are processed each week on Monday. Orders received by Monday at 9AM will be available on Thursday of the same week. Orders may be picked up in the office or you have the option of having your order sent home via back pack mail. Although we can not be responsible for certificates sent home in this way, we will help to ensure that your scrip makes it home by allowing only your student to pick up your scrip certificates in the office as they are leaving the building on Thursday.
