| September, 2010 Dear Parents,
Our goal is to do only a few fundraisers, but to do them well. Your active participation will allow us to cut the amount of fundraising we do, while still earning some necessary funds for Nittany Christian. The following paragraphs contain the details of our fundraising formula: A fundraising formula accomplishes the following:

Here is an example of how this will work:
As our Middle School sports programs progress, we have found the need to raise funds for them as well. The sports boosters will be sponsoring several hoagie sales, but this will not include all students. Proceeds from these sales will go directly to the sports programs, and will not qualify for tuition credit. We understand that some families will not choose to participate at all, but we would like to encourage you to support the school in this way. In order to avoid raising tuition we need to generate revenue to help cover the operating costs that we incur. This formula provides a way for you to benefit as well as contribute to the need of the school. Please feel free to contact the administrative staff with any questions that you have. We |

Nittany Christian School has implemented a fundraising formula that gives you tuition credit based on participation in school fundraising events. If you were not able to take advantage of this program last year, we encourage you to do so this year because we believe you will find this very beneficial.
The formula will take the $3500 in sales for a multi-child family and consider that $3000 is above and beyond the $500 goal. 20% of that $3000 is $600, which will be given to the family in tuition credit. If this family only had one child, $3200 would be above their $300 goal and they would receive $640 as a tuition credit.
