Science Fair

Of course, if it's Nittany Christian's Science Fair, where excitement, enjoyment, and education join hands for an exploratory roller-coaster ride of God's world! Zoom to the depths of the ocean and experience God's handiwork that many never realize even exists! Race to the outer limits of space and reach into the awesome eternity which is God's "turf"! Hang on while we come in for a close-up look at the miniature creation - things so small that the eyeball twitches in a futile effort to focus, while the brain boggles trying to imagine the complexity of infinitesimally tiny organisms. And -watch out! Don't fall into that black hole over there! View the wonder of electrons streaming through a closed circuit. Visit the secret den of an animal that spends much of its life underground. Learn how a stream cleanses itself as it flows to the sea. Monitor your own body's powerful blood-pump while it maintains its incredible symphony right on beat. Experience the positive proof of God's "invisible characteristics" through the panorama of creation you'll explore at any showing of Nittany Christian's Science Fair. Being part of Nittany Christian's Science Fair will leave you full of appreciation and praise for the Creator. Whether you're an exhibiting student or part of the audience, your science fair experience will make you feel worn out but happy - just the way you'd feel after a fun-filled day at any fair!

Enrichment
Want to get rich? Nittany Christian classes enrich the lives of every student. In addition, students who want and need even more challenges will find those types of opportunities in just about any area of interest, talent, and ability. Just can't get enough math? No problem! Love books? Just wait 'til you worm your way into our reading programs that are full of novels, short stories, fact and fiction, the serious and the hilarious! Does your life seem to operate only when accompanied by a cool soundtrack? Score a big hit with an extra measure of music in your studies! At Nittany Christian, enrichment will help you explore the depths of your favorite topics. Some students will accelerate through their basic studies, then discover the gift of time for educational "side trips" to places that really interest them! Other students will advance to higher-level courses - even before June brings an official end to the school year! Would you like to get really rich? Nittany Christian provides the opportunities for kids to discover the riches that are theirs in Christ Jesus. Like they say: "Being a Christian is fantastic, and the benefits are out of this world!"

Field Trips
Ready? Set? GO - on a field trip! Nittany Christian School isn't confined to the walls of our beautiful facility. Younger students explore places of interest and excitement in the local area, while older kids take off for places more remote. Kindergartners visit farms and get to look animals in the eye, then enjoy a ride in a wagon pulled by giant horses. Primary students get behind-the-scenes looks at how real businesses and services work - and don't forget that "buggy place" and the rock museum! Fourth-graders discover what it's like to be a representative, as they represent their School while visiting the state Capital. They not only discover what our state was like long ago, but they also tread the halls of the Capitol, where legislation is being forged that will affect their lives far into the future. Fifth graders may take a hike on a Civil War battlefield. Middle-school kids might be found just about anywhere their curriculum takes them. It's true! Nittany Christian is your passport to on-the-go learning!

Yearbook Club
Yearbooks are just for the "big kids" in high school and college, right? Sorry, but if you answered, "Yes" to the question above, you missed the question! However, you'll find that our yearbook, the Nittany Christian Talon, is the right answer for keeping track of all your friends at school, starting with the youngest kids, the little-bit-bigger kids, the medium kids, and topping out with those middle school kids! (You know, the ones that change classes and teachers, and study the really cool stuff, and get to keep their things in a locker. They're also the ones who'll help you if you need it, watch out for you, and make sure you learn how to have fun while you're learning! Who wouldn't want a picture of friends like that?) The Talon puts photos of all your classmates and teachers in one, easy-to-find (and keep!) place. You'll also have photos of the School's sports teams, musical presentations, family activities, and just about every part of your Nittany Christian experience! Plus, there's a shiny page with the Nittany Christian Eagle (our mascot) watching over your friends' autographs so you can keep in touch with the people who mean the most to you - even over vacation! While most schools only provide yearbooks to kids who have some extra cash to pay for them, every student at Nittany Christian gets a copy of The Talon! We don't think any member of the family should have to live without a family album!

Artists' Gallery
There is no need to travel to New York City or Paris just because you want to take in some great artwork. Simply be sure to carve some time out of your busy schedule to visit Nittany Christian's annual Fine Arts Show. Our school's artists are busy all year creating everything from the wonderfully fanciful to the stunningly realistic. When we enjoy "creating" works of art, we remind ourselves of our Creator, the Master Artist. And, according to the Bible, He apparently had a blast creating the universe! You'll have a blast, too, being part of the Fine Arts Show. Drawings, sculptures, paintings, mobiles, woven textiles, carved figures, mosaics, portraits, prints - you name it, if it's artistic, our Fine Arts Show has it! Our students are not only creative, they're also in an environment that nurtures creativity and provides a spotlight for everybody's works of art. Art connoisseurs everywhere will be sure to find something "just right" at our Fine Arts Show, whether they're contemplating something to hang in the Louvre or on the refrigerator!
