Mr. Marshall graduated from Penn State University with a degree in Kinesiology so that he could help students fulfill their recreational and physical needs to live a healthy, active lifestyle. His second degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Management will be utilized to teach students outdoor skills, facilitate teambuilding, and adopt fresh ideas for physical education and health.

Mr. Marshall is also a certified Wilderness First Responder and has guided several backpacking trips for youth and teens in Central PA and Virginia. When he is not leading trips, he can be found taking his own backpacking trips to places like the Adirondack Mountains in New York, the Sierra Mountain Range in California, or the Chiricahua Mountains in Arizona. He has plans to summit Mount Rainier in the next couple of years! Mr. Marshall is married to his beautiful wife Melissa, who is a Communications Instructor at Penn State. They live in the Shingletown Gap, an old logging town that used wood for charcoal for the early iron industry. They have 3 dogs (Murfy, Marley, and Fergus) who they love to take hiking on one of the many trails and loops that begin just outside their front door. They also enjoy traveling, cross-country skiing, camping, and drinking coffee together on their patio or inside by their wood stove.
